The Raveler unifies and explodes, ravels and unravels. It is connected, but free. We, as Master’s students, ravel onto our spool of knowledge at every turn, and yet we find ourselves in an exciting, terrifying position of unravel as well. As we disconnect from old worlds and reconnect to new ones, sometimes the thread that ties us to our old selves is hard to see.
Interpreting disconnectedness as freedom requires creativity and productivity. The creators of The Raveler began this online magazine to serve as a resource/outlet for ourselves, and for other Master’s students. Our goal is to utilize this brief moment, to explore it fully, and to answer our own need for creative and academic freedom that will allow us to write, publish, and connect with our peers in an environment with no limitations.
